About Pizza Lunch

The Pizza Lunches are meant to be a fun event for students and a fundraising opportunity to support important enhancements to your child(ren)’s learning (ex. visiting artists, technology in the classroom, school yard improvement, etc).

UPCOMING PIZZA LUNCH DATES: January 31,  February 21, March 6, March 20, April 17, May 15, June 12, June 26. 

 

Slice choices

  • Cheese only

  • Cheese and pepperoni

  • Cheese mushroom and green pepper

  • No cheese, mushroom and green pepper

Dietary accommodations: halal toppings, dairy-free cheese, gluten-free dough

 

Suggested order: 1–2 slices per primary student (K–Grade 3) and 2–3 slices per Junior Student (Grade 3-6). 1 slice is from a 10 slice extra large 16” pizza.

Equity and Affordability

The Pizza Lunch Program is pay-what-you-can so the ability to pay will not be a barrier to participating. Parents and caregivers who are able may also support the Pizza Lunch Program by making additional purchases of slices to make the program equitable. The full amount of these purchases will be considered a donation.

 

Tax receipt for donation component will be issued where donation amount is $25 or greater in a tax year. Donation contribution will be tracked by email through the tax year (January to December). The tax receipt will reduce the out-of-pocket cost by 20–40% depending on the parent’s/guardian’s/caregiver’s specific income tax situation.

 

Nutrition and Dietary Accommodation

  • Pizza are ordered from Pizza Pizza and are 280 to 300 calories per slice

  • Complies with School Food and Beverage Policy (MOE Policy Memorandum No. 150)

  • Halal toppings and gluten-free dough are available

​

We need parent/ guardian/ caregiver volunteers! The program requires 6-8 parent/guardian volunteers from 11:00am to 12:15pm each pizza lunch. With 50 volunteers, parents/guardians/caregivers would only need to volunteer once or twice this school year. If interested in becoming a volunteer, please send us a message.
